Crisis and Support Navigation



The MA Behavioral Health Helpline (BHHL) (launched 1/3/23) connects individuals/families to a full the range of comprehensive services for mental health and addiction offered in MA, including, outpatient, urgent and immediate crisis intervention. It is available to anyone living in MA.  Call, Text, Chat 24/7/365   833-773-2445, https://www.masshelpline.com/ 


BHHL provides individuals with a warm hand off to Community Based Health Centers (CBHCs), Community Partners, and other services. BHHL connects individuals/families to the full range of services for mental health and addiction including, outpatient, urgent and immediate crisis intervention. It provides real-time, live clinical triage and service navigation in multiple languages 24/7. BHHL collaborates with existing statewide services such as Mass 211, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), Substance Use Helpline, and 988. The Help line will connect the caller to one of the 25 CBHC’s in communities throughout the Commonwealth and will have interpreters in place available in 200 languages.

was created as a resource to connect callers to information about critical health and human services

Emergency Services Program/Mobile Crisis Intervention (ESP/MCI) If you or a family member are experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis, the Emergency Services Program/Mobile Crisis Intervention (ESP/MCI) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Anyone may contact ESP/MCI for assistance. Call toll-free at 1 (877) 382-1609. (Enter your zip code after the prompt). This will connect you with care and referrals across MA. ESP can help with intervention, stabilization, mental health, pharmacological support, and substance abuse services. Provides on-site solution based access to services.

Call takers are available to listen to you and can link you to helpful resources in your area. Free and

available support in many languages.
